Terms of Use

Last updated: 12 September 2026

Please read these Terms of Use (the “Terms”) carefully. They govern your access to and use of the Weather Pal website and applications (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by ourPrivacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Weather Pal provides weather forecasts, radar imagery, air-quality information and severe-weather alerts for locations you choose. The Service is provided free of charge for your personal, non-commercial use. Weather Pal does not require you to create an account, and it stores your chosen location, unit and consent preferences locally in your browser only.

2. Eligibility

The Service is not directed to children. You may use the Service only if you can form a binding contract under the laws of your jurisdiction, and in any case you must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country to use online services without parental consent).

3. Privacy

Our Privacy Policyexplains what limited data the Service handles and how. It is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Weather Pal uses cookieless analytics and may display advertising; you can manage your analytics and ad-personalisation choices in the app’s Settings.

4. Licence and ownership

The Service, including its design, text, graphics and software, is owned by Weather Pal and its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from any part of the Service except as permitted by law.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
  • access, scrape, or harvest data from the Service by automated means (bots, crawlers, scrapers) except as expressly permitted, or use the Service to build a competing product;
  • interfere with, disrupt, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its underlying systems, including any rate limits or security measures;
  • resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service or the data it provides.

6. Weather information — no reliance for safety

Weather, air-quality, radar and alert information is provided for general informational and planning purposes only. It is inherently uncertain, may be delayed, incomplete or inaccurate, and is not a substitute for official government sources or emergency services.

Do not rely on the Service for decisions where inaccurate or delayed information could lead to injury, death, property damage or other loss. For severe weather and emergencies, always consult your local authorities and official weather services (for example, the U.S. National Weather Service) and follow their instructions. Do not interact with the Service while driving or during any activity where distraction could cause harm.

7. Third-party data and links

The Service relies on data from third-party providers, which may include Open-Meteo (forecasts and air quality), RainViewer (radar) and the U.S. National Weather Service (alerts). Weather Pal is not affiliated with, and does not endorse, these providers, and is not responsible for the accuracy, availability or content of their data. Some data, such as U.S. National Weather Service alerts, is in the public domain and is not owned by Weather Pal. The Service may also contain links to third-party sites, which you use at your own risk and subject to their own terms.

8. Advertising

The Service may display advertising provided by third parties, including Google AdSense. Advertisers are solely responsible for their content and compliance with applicable law. Where required, ad personalisation is governed by your consent, which you can manage in Settings and, in applicable regions, through the consent prompt presented to you.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. Weather Pal does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, error-free, or that any information provided will be accurate or reliable. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Weather Pal and its operators, contributors and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive or exemplary damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or for personal injury or property damage, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Service — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Because the Service is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (USD 100) or the amount you paid us to use the Service, whichever is greater. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Weather Pal and its operators from any claims, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms or of any applicable law.

12. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time; when we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where required by law, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, stop using the Service.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, without notice, if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including licence limits, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification and governing law — will survive.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Delhi, India, except where mandatory local consumer-protection law provides otherwise.
